TMNT is a Paramount franchise (I hate you) about four brothers who are mutant turtles between 14 and 16 years old with ninja abilities (hence the name, haha).
I didn't used to like it much and only knew of its existence because I saw a few episodes of the 2012 series (what I'm talking about was in 2014/15), but it started to catch my attention when the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem came out in 2023 because it has a hybrid animation (3D + 2D) that I really like. The bad thing is that I couldn't see it in theaters, but I did see it on Netflix (when it was available - damn it). I LOVED IT, I don't know why, but I did.
After that, I started researching and learned about the other versions that exist, dating back to around 1984, the year Peter Iain and Kevin Estman published the first Mirage comic. And well, since then, TMNT has become a part of my life :D
Storie
4 little turtles and an adult rat or a human, because ooze/mutagen, mutate in anthropomorphic beings. That's why they hide in the sewers and the rat teaches them about ninjutsu; this rat (whose name is Splinter) becomes a father figure and sensei to the 4 mutant turtles.
Fifteen years later, those turtles, already teenagers, go to the surface and (for an accident or in a mision) meet April O'Neil and they become friends (this is more extenses but I'll sum it up like that). But now, they have to protect themselfs because of Shreder (the principal villian in the most adaptions) and the Kraang (an alien race that for some reason wants to wipe out humanity and conquer and destroy Earth).
Charaters
Leonardo
Leonardo, in most adaptions, it's the oldest brother and the lider. He has a lot of responsbilities and usually has a more developed character, and the poor guy isn't allowed to breathe or be calm for 5 minutes because otherwise someone will die. For me, he is someone calm, responsible, always seeks his father's approval (in my opinion, it's not healthy for him to always seek it but what do I know) and several times he has trouble listening to his siblings because he believes that if he doesn't do what he says something bad will probably happen to them.Nickname: Leo, Nardo
Fav Version: Leo form Mutant Mayhem (I love him, it's so adorable).
Raphael
Raphael, in most adaptions, it's the older brother after Leo and the warrior of the group. He often argues or fights Leo because they almost always have conflicting opinions. For me, he is someone with strong character, someone who is very expressive with his emotions (although sometimes he wants to appear otherwise), sincere and he almost always has anger issues.Nickname: Rapha
Fav Version: Rapha from Rise of the TMNT.
Donatello
Donatello it's the younger brother before Mickey and the smart one. They always go with him for fixing things, taking care of their health, searching for antidotes for the mutation, creating weapons for protection and transportation to get around the city, etc. For me, he is responsible, sarcastic, a stalker (Donnie 2012 it's the prove) and He is sometimes indifferent to certain situations. And to be fair, he acts more normally than his brothers (aside from the fact that he's a stalker).
Nickname: Donnie
Fav Version: Donnie form Bayverse (Hear Me Out).
Michael Angelo
Michael Angelo it's the youngest brother and the funny one. He often it's like spiderman or nightwin, he is carismatic and often do pranks to his brothers or enemies. Many times, his brothers doesn't listen to him because he is the youngest. And he makes friends easily (except Bradford and Rod).
Nickname: Mickey, Angelo
Fav Version: Mickey form TMNT-2007
Fav Adaptions
I am a VERY indecisive person and choose one fav adaption it's extremely difficult because I like very adaptions (except for Next Mutation; I saw some videos about it and I just don't want to watch it). But, If I had to choose, their gonna be TMNT Mutant Mayhem and Rise of TMNT; the only problem it is that they are cancelled.TMNT Mutant Mayhem
Literally it's the reason I'm doing this and why I like the franchise. The only thing I hope is that they don't turn Leo into a narcissistic jerk in the sequel, like what happened in the sequel to Michael Bay's movie, or an imbecile who doesn't listen to his brothers and wants to impose his orders, as if he were a boss instead of a leader, like the one in the 2007 movie. And I LOVE the animation in the movie/s and serie.
Rise of TMNT
First: I also LOVE the animation, special in Netflix's movie. I like I like his jokes and the series is quite entertaining; and the movie improves on those things, adding a bigger conflict and the appearance of a new character (Casey Jones JR) who has - or had - enormous potential to explore his backstory before the events of the movie.
