Ninjago is a Lego franchise about a group of young ninjas who have powers based on the elements of nature and were trained with a technique called Spinjitsu to protect the world from the villain of the season.

When I was 5-7y/o I watched a chapter from season 6 in cartoon nekwork and I liked it. So, when I could, I watched the serie; but, as I grew up, I stopped looking at it so much. Years later, in 2023 I found the 15 seasons in Netflix and I was able to watch seasons 1 through 11 in their entirety (I don't like the others but I'll watch them at some point).

Storie

Ninjago it is an island created by the first master of spinjitsu, who was running from the Onis and the Dragons. Time later appeared the Overlord, a dark entity that started a long war against the First Master; so, to stop it and its stone army, he separeted the island in two equals parts. In turn, the djinn Nadakhan was trapped in a "teapot" by Captain Soto, who later died along with his crew when his ship (the Bounty) crashed into a rock; due to Nadakhan's actions and the destruction of another kingdom, the kingdom he came from (Djinjago) disappeared.

In 2011, Kai and Nya were in their house when the Skulkins atacked and they kidnapped Nya. Sensei Wu, who helped wipe out the Skulkins, told Kai that if he wanted to get his sister back, he had to train (or some nonsense like that). So, Kai and Sensei Wu went to the dojo, and there Kai met Cole, Zane, and Jay. To make a long story short, Lord Garmadon orchestrated the kidnapping in order to steal the Golden Weapons, but in the end it was in vain because he did not succeed. Nya and Kai were saved, and Nya stayed at the dojo to train with Sensei Wu.

A few months later, the kids went to a village because Nya told them it was under attack. When they arrived, they saw it was just Lloyd (Lord Garmadon's son) harassing the villagers. A week later, the kids went to the village again, but this time Lloyd was accompanied by the Hypnobrais, a tribe from the Serpentine group (anthropomorphic snakes, each tribe possessing different abilities). In short: some time later, Lloyd returns to his uncle because they used him until he was no longer useful. The Serpentine wanted to revive the Great Devourer. The ninjas ask Garmadon for help, discover that Lloyd is the Green Ninja (the most powerful and important ninja), and, after many twists and turns, defeat the Great Devourer.

Charaters

Kai

Kai is the Red Ninja, the current Elemental Master of Fire, Nya's older brother, Skylor's boyfriend, Ray and Maya's son, and Wyldfyre's mentor. He and his younger sister worked as blacksmiths in their father's forge their entire lives until they met Sensei Wu. Under his guidance, Kai learned Spinjitzu and discovered his other teammates, Cole, Jay, Zane, and Lloyd, with whom he embarked on many adventures, battling the likes of Serpentine and the Stone Warriors.

Cole

Cole is the Black Ninja, the current Elemental Master of Earth, and the son of Lou and Lilly. He was the first member of the team to be recruited by Wu, and with the elder's help, Cole learned Spinjitzu and met his other teammates. Together, they embarked on numerous adventures, and Cole eventually became the team's leader. Cole is the physically strongest member of the team, even without his elemental powers, although his strength is considerably reduced without them.

Nya

Nya is the current Elemental Master and Water Ninja, the younger sister of Kai, the daughter of Ray and Maya, and the girlfriend of Jay Walker. She was named after the first Elemental Master of Water, Nyad. Upon meeting Wu, Nya and Kai joined him in his quest to protect Ninjago. While her brother trained to be a ninja, Nya grew tired of being left out of the team and created the identity of Samurai X. During this time, Jay began a relationship with Nya. She helped fight against the Serpentine and later against the Stone Army.

Jay

Jay Walker (born Jay Gordon), formerly operating under the alias Rogue, is the current Elemental Master of Lightning, the Blue Ninja, Nya's boyfriend/Yin, and the adopted son of Ed and Edna Walker, given up by his biological parents, Cliff Gordon and Libber Gordon. He learned skills such as Spinjitzu and met his other teammates, Cole, Zane, Lloyd Garmadon, and Kai, with whom he embarked on many adventures, fighting the Serpentine and the Stone Army. During this time, Jay formed a romantic relationship with Nya.

Zane

Zane Julien is the White Ninja (and formerly the Titanium Ninja), the current Elemental Master of Ice, P.I.X.A.L.'s boyfriend, and the first Nindroid created in Ninjago. Zane was recruited by Master Wu, learned Spinjitzu, and met his teammates, with whom he embarked on many adventures, battling the likes of the Serpentine and the Stone Army. During this time, Zane reunited with his inventor/father figure, Dr. Julien, but sometime after the Final Battle, Dr. Julien passed away once again.

Lloyd

Master Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon is the legendary Green Ninja and the current Elemental Master of Life and a user of Destruction. Lloyd holds the title of Gold Ninja and is a Conduit of the Source Dragon, as well as the current leader and master of the ninja, serving as mentor to Arin, Sora, Wyldfyre, and Frak. He is the son of Garmadon and Misako, nephew of Wu, and grandson of the First Spinjitzu Master. He is a hybrid, descended from Oni and Dragons on his father's side and human on his mother's.

Sensei Wu

Sensei Wu (formerly known as Sensei Wu) is the wise and ancient mentor of the ninja and the Elemental Master of Creation. He is the second son of the First Spinjitzu Master, younger brother of Garmadon, brother-in-law of Misako, and paternal uncle of Lloyd. Wu grew up learning the ninja arts alongside his older brother, who was infected with the Great Devourer's poison by evil. They fought together as a team against evil for countless years, until Garmadon was completely corrupted and subsequently banished to the Underworld.

Garmadon

Garmadon is the Elemental Master of Destruction, as well as the archenemy turned ally and former mentor of the Ninja. He is the firstborn son of the First Spinjitzu Master, the older brother of Wu, the husband of Misako, and the father of Lloyd Garmadon. Garmadon grew up learning the ninja arts alongside Wu. Garmadon was bitten by the Great Devourer. The effects of the Devourer's venom slowly led Garmadon down a dark path, constantly tempting him throughout his time as a hero.
